Skip Bayless announces Keyshawn Johnson will join ‘Undisputed,’ but there’s a catch

Skip Bayless may have jumped the gun with his announcement.

FS1′s Bayless took to social media on Monday, announcing the “NEW DREAM TEAM” on “Undisputed,” claiming Keyshawn Johnson was added to the lineup.

The New York Post reported earlier this week that Johnson has not yet been released from his ESPN contract.

Johnson, who was laid off in June in the second year of a five-year deal worth roughly $18 million, may not be let go by the network. According to the report, ESPN might see a benefit to sitting on Johnson and paying him his money.

Shannon Sharpe left “Undisputed” in June and will appear on ESPN’s “First Take” with Stephen A. Smith.
